If nothing else, this result is a testament to the power of Nikita’s glorious oiled up tits as Amber scoops us the most votes she’s ever had in one of my polls – tying her with fan favourites Karen and La Voix. I imagine she stole a few of the floating votes that Lewis usually gets because the perfectly fine conceptless tango lands him in the lower half, only narrowly beating Balvinder who apparently still has a surprisingly devoted fanbase despite the show trying to give her a send off of dignity and respect this week.

On the other end of the spectrum, Vicky HEMORRHAGED votes with a completely unmemorable Jive. I have to think it was done a little bit on purpose because the judges can easily finagle a vote to her over Balvinder in the bottom 2. It very much feels a week to set up for three things:
1. Get rid of Balvinder (with dignity in tact) – achieved through inoffensive critiques of fine American Smooth in a nice dress.
2. Get La Voix to Blackpool – achieved through a wildly overmarked Couple’s Choice on a Bottom Two bounce week.
3. Let George Have a Breakthrough… 😬

I have no doubt that the Familial Tragedy Rumba will play well with voters at large, I fear we are too cynical a bunch here to fully appreciate the tenderness of the trage-rumba. But my God what a bottom 2 Vicky vs George would be. Especially with Craig having the deciding vote and the potential to do the funniest thing imaginable
