So, it really is a week where anything could happen because there’s a lot of notable vote splitting. People having to make a Sophie’s Choice between two divas in Alex and La Voix has seen a notable drop in their voting figures, allowing Karen to slip into the top spot and Balvinder to potentially really make good of both a Bottom 2 Bounce and a weepy Couple’s Choice double whammy.

That 5th Place Pile-up is the greatest breeding ground for mess – the motivation of the La Voix and Alex voters who are the most likely to pile all 5 votes into one person and an apathy towards Vicky because she topped the leaderboard with a not all that remarkable dance *could* see a rare dramatic dip into the bottom from the top – she usually polls very well on my polls but there’s a noticeable large dip as people run to support their favourites in more precarious positions.
However, I think Vicky in the grand scheme of things would be polling better than Amber even if Vicky didn’t show up. And with Amber being thrown absolutely NOTHING in terms of narrative or audience connection, I won’t be surprised to see her going against Harry in the Dance Off. But I do think it’s potentially hoping for too much to have both La Voix and Alex avoid the Dance Off, La Voix is the more likely to be dancing again but both dances lacked a stand out moment so they’re relying entirely on call to action. Whereas Amber was pretty damn spectacular and there’s nothing Nikita won’t do for votes

I feel pretty confident saying Harry will dance again – his latin got lost amongst the other Latin routines even though they closed the show – it didn’t feel like the triumphant “Here I am!” moment Harry needed from the last Party Latin in his dance card arsenal. So even if he does survive this, he’s on borrowed time.
