I do not at all pretend this is a definitive result, nor do I expect it even vaguely speaks to the broadest range of people who watch the show.
However, I do think there are some observable trends we can be mindful of leading into the result. The biggest obviously being a concerted effort to tactically vote against Thomas Skinner by bolstering Ross and Chris far beyond what they actually deserve (but I would find it very funny if Chris did beat Lewis in the leaderboard just for 1 week – nobody tell Katya, she’s have a conniption). This ultimately being to the detriment of the middle pack. I think it’s optimistic to believe both Chris and Ross escape the Dance Off, the best we can probably hope for is that we just manage to keep Thomas down there because he’s going home no matter what, really. The only Super Special Head Judge™ that could swing it his way is Anton because he could be impressed by a samba that stays within the same 10 feet of floor space and basically amounts to only occasionally lifting Amy like she’s a sack of grain at feeding time in the barn. Motsi is usually slightly more discerning.
But I do think there’s a strong chance of nonsense this week and I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if Balvinder or Vicky didn’t dip into that precarious position – Vicky for a mildly forgettable Foxtrot, Balvinder due to… Observable Voting Patterns In The British Public™.

I have a very big soft spot for Vicky as she’s a patron of a small charity I support and which is very important to me. She’s clearly genuinely battling a lot of nerves and anxiety and I really hope you’re wrong about her (also wrong about Bal, who I thought was cracking tonight), but fear you may be right about both being more in jeopardy than they ought to be. If anyone other than the big lummox goes, I’ll be fuming.
